Chromium plated stainless steel bars, with enhanced surface hardness and increased resistance to corrosion provided by the chrome plating, are the ideal solution for various applications in marine environments, extreme atmospheric conditions, mining industry, road transport, chemical plants, civil engineering, farming machinery, off-shore industry, hydraulic and oleo dynamic, aeronautical, aerospace and nuclear.

The chromium deposit (thickness of 20, 25 or more microns) increases surface hardness, reduces surface roughness and guarantees improved performance in terms of duration in corrosive environments.

PRODUCT RANGE: Diameter from 8 to 200mm (other sizes available on request).

  • L SERIES: diameter from 8 to 16mm 15 ± 5 microns
  • L SERIES: diameter from 18 to 200mm 25 ± 5 microns
  • P SERIES: diameter from 18 to 200mm 50 ± 5 microns
• SURFACE ROUGHNESS:
  • Ra = 0,05 ÷ 0,15 microns
• CHROME HARDNESS:
  • HV = 900 ÷ 1100
• TOLERANCE:
  • ISO f7
  • Other tolerances available on request
• BAR'S LENGTH:
  • 3000/6500mm
  • Other lengths up to max. 8300mm and/or fixed lengths on request.
• OUT OF ROUNDNESS:
  • Up to 1/2 of the diameter tolerance
• STRAIGHTNESS:

• PACKAGING:
  • Valbruna can offer extruded, recyclable polypropylene for bar protection.
